Vega or Abhijith

The size comparison of Vega with our Sun. Vega was the Pole Star
around 12000 BCE and now it is Polaris or Dhruva

I forgot to add that Vega is called Abhijith in Indian
Astronomy. Sanskrit for the Conqueror.

Vasishta and Arundhathi

•

Mizar and Alcor in Western Astronomy and in Indian Astronomy Vasistha and his consort Arundhathi.

Amongst Hindus, there is a custom of showing the bride the star Arundhathi to highlight chastity. Also Polaris or Dhruva to show steadfastness. Vasistha and Arundhathi are just 11 minutes apart and have nearly identical proper motion. They both are in Ursa Major or the constellation of the Sapta Rishies.

Antares or Jyeshta

Antares or Jyeshta or Thrikketa. Her radius is 883 times that of our Sun ! A red supergiant !

Antares is comparable with the great Betelguese in the Orion. With a diameter of more than 600 million miles, she has a color index of more than +1.83. This redness is the advanced evolutionary stage of a super giant. Is it by chance our forefathers called Antares Jyeshta or the oldest ?

Karthika, the Pleiades

The Pleaides or the  Seven Sisters of Western Astronomy, known in the Indian as the constellation of Karthika.

The Pleiades or Karthka is presided by Agni or Fire, according to Indian tradition.

The Sun's transit of the Pleiades, Karthika Njattuvela, is a season of extreme heat. Does not the birth of Subramanya, have something to say about the Pleiades as a heat generating group of stars, now confirmed by modern discoveries ?

The Alpha Numeric System of Mathematica Indica

and 351 by Kamala
Kamala = ka + ma + la = 351

Elemental Numbers in Mathematica Indica

Sanskrit poets used Elemental Numbers in their poems. As eyes are 2, two represents eyes. As the Vedas are four, four represents the Vedas. Netra Netra ( eyes , eyes ) means 22 and Veda Veda means 44.
